Polyurethane Sway Bar Bushings

These bushings are the only way to go if your in need of new ones. If you've never replaced you stock sway bar bushings, then I promise you it is time. I know that both sets on my two 1988 Preludes were blown to bits, and a few even crumbled on me! Personally, I noticed immediate results. I used to hear a bit of knocking from the sway bar end-link moving around and now that's gone. They are Red, and look nice if your rims are open enough for people to see thru to them. I say that if you ever plan on AutoX or Road racing where suspension is your best friend that you look me up. You can't go wrong for just $40 (no one produces these bushings for our ludes). - Dustin Palmer

Dustin,
I have to admit, that before I purchased your bushings I thought my car was fine with the ones on it.

Constantly, I check all the components of the lude and a look at them always seemed fine even with 145k miles on the clock. I always thought that our cars (3 g ludes) handled well, even with bone stock springs.

My mods for suspension include Tokicos all the way around, and stock springs (I sold all my after market ones because I was tired of smashing my downpipe). The Tokicos in the rear are the 5-way adjustable Illuminas, and I love them all. They make the car handle quite well.

After speaking to you that Saturday that I called you, I decided on putting them on. The total time took me about 1hr, which included me inspecting the entire undercarriage of the car and chasing my cats from across the street!

Oh, I don't think I told you this but when I got your bushings in the mail, I was quite bent on seeing how sturdy your bushings were, so I bit one of them... IT was QUITE stiff considering I bit a brand new stock prelude bushing to compare to yours.

Well, after installation, I sought freeway off ramps and WOW.. The car feels as if it handles on RAILS! It's a totally solid feel, and the car does not sway not even 1/3 as much! I get head rushes now instead on gripping the steering wheel tightly through the turns. Needless to say, my foot is now deeper in the throttle! I found out that I can still stay within the solid white lines instead of cutting into them to reduce body roll.

Thanks for opening my eyes to your inexpensive alternative. I hope you produce some more bushings or replacement rubber suspension components. I personally would be interested in Radius Arm bushings, and engine mounts.

Take care and good luck with your Auto-X!!

Hey Dustin,
I received the bushings at the beginning of the month (with much anticipation!). I put them on last week and went for a spin.. I didn't really notice the difference until I put my car into some hard turns. The bushings definitely made the front sway bar more effective! My Prelude doesn't roll as much through the corners and the car is much more level going into and exiting a turn.

Installation was pretty simple after I figured out the sway-bar could be rotated to allow the pins holding the bushings to be accessed. After that, it was easy to install them.

I'm pretty happy with the product. For the price, it is a very good upgrade to stiffen the suspension. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money, but still wants to upgrade the stock suspension.

Thanks Dustin!
